The issues with section boxes is the BIGGEST MYSTERY in modern times of architecture. BIM as a concept makes sense, but Revit is basically like someone implemented a BIM database, and then just gave users the ability to manually edit that database without providing any real high level software around it, so users are constantly having to learn about and manage and deal with concepts that would be handled internally in any half decent application. All I need to tell it, is that that Torch needs to be attached to a wall, and it should figure out how to do it. Why should any user, anywhere, ever, have to concern themselves with whether a family is plane based or face based? Why on earth is that exposed to the user? If I'm playing Minecraft and I attach a torch to a wall, does it ask me whether I want to use a face based torch or a plane based torch? No, because that is not information that me as the user, needs to provide it. I mean think about the types of families for a second. Any modern day software is designed such that it operates at the level of concepts that its users understand, and consequently they don't need to learn how to use it, it's just intuitive. We no longer need to bend users to software or force users to learn about software just to use it. It's not 1995 anymore, and software does not face the same limitations that it used to. The problem is that none of those steps should exist. Sorry if this was a rant, but I'm using Revit for 5 years now and I can't convince someone to use Revit from AutoCAD if I myself don't see the benefits of it.

We should have standard Macros enabled in 2022. Always need an additional addon like Dynamo and StabiCAD and then need a skill extra to use those addons. You would think that Autodesk get more than enough complaints for even the most simple shit and then they don't do shit about it. I don't have a laptop so much of my time is spend on the workplace and can't program it in the evenings/weekends and 2. Like, how is it freaking impossible to not change OFFSET in a schedule? Whit Dynamo it's possible.

This is THE MAIN REASON why people dislike it. I get freaking anoyed that even in 2021 we don't have the basic things covered for Revit.
